NEFDA :: Northeast Fire Department Association

The NEFDA Swiftwater Rescue Team is composed of approximately 60 trained firefighters. The SRT is equipped with wet suits, personal flotation devices, helmets, specially designed water rescue equipment, and boats. NEFDA's Swiftwater Rescue personnel have the ability to create land-based water rescue systems, as well as to perform water-based contact rescues, in order to save victims trapped in the many natural and man-made waterways through out Texas.

The team is equipped with three military grade Zodiac F420 rescue boats with 40 hp Mercury outboards. The boats are located in Haltom City, Euless and Bedford, and can be deployed at a moments notice.
